SUMMARY:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is primarily responsible for the preparation, production, and validation of numerous reporting outputs for the Credit Union. Will focus on normalizing and standardizing internal and external data to provide accurate and consistent reports. This position will work closely with key representatives of other business units to accomplish Credit Union priorities. This role works independently to complete excellent and precise work, you will generate insights by conducting extensive analyses of SFFCU’s data. You will also apply industry best practices to writing reports, conducting research, analyzing data, and making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Developing reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI and SQL Queries.
  • Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Serve as the conduit between the business stakeholders and the data engineering team.
  • Support the business community and drive value by empowering decision making through data, reporting, and analytics.
  • Work with a wide range of business stakeholders to identify use cases and gather requirements for analysis, reporting, and automation.
  • Research data from key business systems, work with Data Engineers to ingest data into Snowflake, assess data quality, map requirements to available data and design end-to-end business intelligence solutions to support SFFIRECU Data Lake
  • Analyze data on key business questions and present findings.
  • Build dashboards to enable ongoing delivery of information and insights.
  • Build and maintain data dictionary and data lineage for metrics and reporting.
  • Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our challenges with data quality and integration.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with a wide range of audiences and maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Maintain delivery of daily, monthly, and yearly reports to executive team.
  • Develop documentation to provide Power BI training to the business community. 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in Banking or Credit Union
  • 5 + years of experience with Microsoft Power BI Development, using DAX and advanced calculations.
  • 7+ years of experience in Advanced SQL Queries Development.
  • Experience with cloud databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, or other relevant technologies.
  • Experience in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience in SQL Server, SSRS would be a plus.
  • Experience in Python would be a plus.
  • Experience in Keystone App for Credit Unions would be plus.

SALARY RANGE
This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At SFFCU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $101,000/Annual to $150,000/Annual.
